Honestly do not know about the first. Although it does not seem like it, at least from the PC point of view. But you are speaking from a PDa point of view. Over there, I can only tell you that I can watch movies on the PC HD almost in real time (very few breaks, depending on the movie) which should mean the streaming is pretty fast.
Pretty sure about the second, as I try to install everything on my SD card, and I have therefore plenty of room (more than 35 MB).
I was thinking more on something like accumulation of something which slow things down, but I do not know what to ask.

Could it be that the WiFi access point(s) you are using are slower than before? Have you cleaned out your cache, saved pages, cookies, and so forth? Have you filled up your X50V with more data and applications so that it has less room to load Pocket IE and the web pages?
