Tried Yahoo, as per your suggestion, same result.

Offbeat, do you know if there is a way to "reset" IE to initial values ?

"The page you are looking for cannot be found" can be a DNS problem, which can be an issue at the ISP. Get an IP address for something easy (Yahoo, for example) and use that in the URL (e.g.: http://IP Address) to see if that reacts differently.
