Oh and another thing that sucks about Palms (that I just discovered today) unless your willing to buy an add on you can't charge certain models without the cradle, it has no port for the charger :)

It's nothing personal..but it is (against the Palm not you)

I owned an m100, loathed its ineffectiveness swore off all handhelds (it was that aggrevating) found and fell in love with the ax, the end
1) For synching with Outlook the best choice is Desktop-to-Go. It synchs with Outlook beautifully. Bundle that with with Documents-to-Go and you get much better desktop support than the crappy P-Word and P-Excel.

2) A charging cable is available for all Palms, it just hooks up to the same port as the synch cable does.

3) The M100 was a piece of cr*p, at least compared to true PDA's. It was marketed as a beginner unit, similar to what the base-model Zire is now.

As for synching issues, are you trying to get multiple units to sync remotely? Other than that Palm is strictly sync-on-demand and NOBODY I know has trouble getting their Palm's to sync. Far more stable that ActiveSync if you ask me. I do like how AS stays connected full-time though. Adding apps to Palm means running a full sync routine whereas with AS it's drag-n-drop.
