Hi there,

just resizing isn't possible, so you have to expect a quality loss because of re-encoding. However that shouldn't be too bothering if done properly.
Why do you need to resize btw, in order to be able to bring more than one episode ?

Anyway, as for the tools that might be usefull, can't help you if you're using Windows. If you're not, then you've already heard of mplayer which comes with mencoder. There's a windows version actually, but that's a command line tool. Unless of course you're ok with that. :)
