Well, they, then, should make this absolutely clear on their online catalog because most customers don't call Dell when there's an much easier-to-use and, knowing the "knowledge" of the Dell Customer Service people, much more dependable online catalog. In their online catalog, it's clearly stated that the cable is NOT sold to non-US customers.
BTW, this is why I've linked in the non-American Dell Accessories pages - anyone can check that the VGA cable is _not_ listed in any of them. Not even in the Canadian or Mexican pages.
That is, this should be ASAP cleared up by Dell. If they do sell the cable to overseas countries, they should also update their online catalog accordingly.
(BTW, Darius Wey's excellent PC-Mobile review (see link in the article) is also complaining about the cable not being sold to non-US customers. Dell's not making clear they sell anything anywhere does cause problems, as can be seen.)

Well, you won't break a thin cable either if you don't _try_ to break it on purpose. I've been using PC-Mobile's thin cables for quite some time and have never had any problems with them.

Also that it's short is more an advantage, it's still small and portable and since mointors/beamers have there own cable i don't see why it should be longer (after all, the vga plug on your pc is also not extended with a cable).

IMHO, the length of the PC-Mobile cable, which is slightly longer than that of the Dell cable, is the best. Of course, it's all about personal preferences and opinions - I still prefer a solution that doesn't put much strain on my Pocket PC's socket.
