A while back I OCed my old Axim to something like what you were talking about and it got warm and shut off. I took the main battery and the backup battery out and let it sit for a while. This allowed two things; the Axim to cool off ('cause it had apparently gotten REAL hot) and removing both batteries allowed all RAM to clear (hard reset by battery removal). After that time, my Axim came up fine. Make sure you have both batteries removed so there is no current to allow it to keep memory. Also, when it happened to me, the Axim was only on for less than a minute because I did not want heat damage. I had immediately removed the batteries to shut it down.
As far as the return. Use your tracking number and print the shipping carrier's tracking page so you can prove Dell got it. It might take a week or two, but if you keep on them, the return will be credited. I have had all things credited by Dell, but I had to keep my records and follow through.
I hope things work out for you.

To All,
Please be careful with these OC programs. They are capable of running your handheld outside what the hardware is able to handle. Perhaps check the author's website (for the OC software you are using) for possible working settings.
http://www.pockethackmaster.com should be seeing some updated Axim profiles in a few days along with the new version. Searching for Overclock in web forums will produce a wealth of info too.
