Just read in a forum, alot of the performance has to do with the RAM frequency as well. At 500 or 600 the RAM frequency stays at 99Mhz, at 472 the RAM frequency is 118, maybe this has to do with increased performance. I think that with one of the OC programs in a lower mode I have seen the RAM frequency at 49Mhz. Maybe this is also a contributing factor to the lack of performance of the new machines...
