It began a big debate with posts of benchmarks and settings... the thread eventually settled on 597 being slower. I think Anton even posted a bit or two on it...
I could not find the thread over at brighthand, but if you go to

I am not sure that link will work (don't know how their search page links in) but I searched Overclock and I looked in the Dell Axim X5 forum. More OC info can be found by including all Pocket PC forums I would imagine.
