There has been several discussions regarding different settings using the stock default settings vs OC settings and determining what the results are using either CPUID or what Hack Master is reporting. I have seen posts from individuals using the PXA250 chip and others using the PXA255. There are individuals using PPC2002 on the advanced and basic. There are individuals using WM2003 on the advanced. There are alot of different scenarios offered in this thread.
Even though I am running PPC2002 on the Axim advanced using the PXA255 chip, I am having problems using XCPUScalar pushing my cpu to 472MHz where others are having no problem at all. I know that this thread discusses cpu settings on the axim and the overall internal bus speed but I really do believe that those that atleast have the PXA255's, there are two separate batches. I believe that there is one batch of Axims that Dell has delivered where the memory is running at 10ns. There seems to be another batch of Axims with PXA255 chips where the memory speed is around 8ns. This could make some difference in performance as well. It is possible that the Axims that performs running at 472MHz is running at a faster memory speed than others. I know that this is a new wrinkle to this thread but it is important that everyone realizes that there could be more differences to the Axims that just the CPU.
Just a thought.
