Many of the cards are OEMd. Some Lexar card actually come from Scamdisk I believe. I think the one I have comes from Panasonic.
I would replace the card if the storage tools are not working. IMHO that's a bad sign. Or maybe you are using them incorrectly, no offense intended, just that you didn't give details.
I went through 3 Scamdisk cards and they all failed. I did a serious amount of heavy testing on the Lexar and no problems at all.
