Question Picky question re syncing to Outlook

I am switching from a Palm device (Clie) to an x51v this week. It will be new, so I assume it will have A12 version ROM and AS 4.2. My question has to do with Active Sync and Outlook 2002 SP3, specifically on a laptop that connects with Exchange (2003, I think) at work and has offline folders when I'm not at work (rarely used). In addition, I run 2 profiles on XP Pro: work (on work's domain) and home (for home wireless network, basically a workgroup, I guess). I believe I read somewhere that I cannot sync when not connected to Exchange. Is this accurate? The problem that presents to me is that I will do most of my installation of programs after work at home. After things are settled (will that ever happen, BTW?), the need to sync at home is minimal. Is it possible to configure AS to ignore Outlook when I'm at home?

Thanks in advance. The knowledge of the members here is really impressive!:approve:
