I'd like to comment on the original post about the lack of variety in PPC games.

IMO it's obvious that there isn't a very large market for PPC games. This causes developers to charge more for PPC games. And the fact is, I won't, and many other people won't, fork out $30can ($20 us) for a game that is about as detailed as one running on a 486.

Another point on the $$$ thing. Programming PPC games is just as hard and time consuming (if not moreso) than programming desktop computer games. The fact that the hardware is so limited and so many workarounds have to be coded in, is reason enough for the prices to be high. But the fact still remains that the quality just isn't there.

I think that until PPC's are created with massive amounts of "power to spare" like many of todays desktops, there won't be much of a gaming market on PPC.
