I may be way out of line here, but im going through the process myself. The trick is to find out the pixel size of your screen, and redesign a portion of the site to fit into that width. Re work you site, or a protion of it, within the restraints of the screen pixel size and of course work in Pixels as the units when designing you site. You may also want to reduce the font size and the images to increase speed.
