Taylor, I'm not entirely sure that I understand the question: but that's never stopped me from replying.
If you turn the device off, then the password screen will not open (because the device is turned off). If you are trying to prevent the password screen from appearing, change the settings in the
Password options screen (from the settings menu). You can clear the password (preventing the prompt when the Axim is turned on) and change the options for prompts following periods of inactiviy.
