I agree with you two.

But why would someone with a stable, licensed copy of PPC2002 want to "upgrade" to an unstable, under-supported, driver-less WM2003 with a semi-official unannounced beta ROM patch anyway? Seems like maddness. I'd quite happily accept a "downgrade" from Dell to PPC2002 to sort out the driver problems I have with my BT and wi-fi CF cards.

I applied this beta release ROM A04->A05 update to try and get a head-start on testing and benchmarks, and see what specific performance issues were addressed. It looks like the memory drivers have been "tweaked" so the overall perfomance has improved, SD and CF access isn't much better, but I assume that this will be addressed in full release.
