I had this problem when I had a x50v. Since then I have had Dell replace it with an x51v. The only way I got it to fix was to do a hard reset. It has something to do with too much processor/memory being used on startup and wakeup so Windows skips loading the menu. You might want to try turnging off some programs that start up with windows or are running constantly in the background. Sorry I can't help any more but since nobody else tried I figure I would say something.
