So yesterday, I upgraded Office 2000 to Office XP Pro. Afterwards, I attempted to use Activesync and the only items that synched were Files, Inbox, and Favorites. Wondering what happened to
Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Tasks, I clicked on Options and noticed that the checkboxes to activate the synchronization of these items were all
gone! I don't mean disabled--they're just not there anymore.
I searched for more info and attempted the following:
- Soft Reset
- Disabled ZoneAlarm
- Deleted partnership
- Detect & Repair Outlook
- Ran scanpst.exe on my PST file
- Reinstalled ActiveSync 3.8
- Uninstalled AS 3.8 and Installed 4.2
Everything to no avail...
I'm pretty sure the problem is a corrupt file on the PDA because using Activesync on my computer with the Axim off the cradle and the partnership deleted, I could see my contacts and such through the AS options dialogue. So what are my options now?
I'm trying to avoid a hard reset because the last time I backed up with AS was after this happened (whoops). Is there a way to reinstall Pocket Outlook? I'm also using Pocket Informant. Would reinstalling that help? I think I should also roll back to AS 3.8. How do I do that? Please help!
