The best you could do that I can think of is to import your contacts into a seperate contacts folder in her identity. You would have to do that on occasion as you updated your contacts.

As far as closing Outlook and getting pops...duno. There is a setting to minimize outlook to the tray (http://www.petri.co.il/minimize_outlook_to_tray.htm.
