Firstly - you're require patience to go and read the manual. They're never interesting but if you are a "fresh" newbie then you'll benefit from it. We all had to start somewhere remember. I'd consider reading it twice, it'll make more sense the second time around.
Once you've done that - click on Resources at the top of the page and choose the Tutorials section.
There is a Tutorial on Activesync there (and here:
http://www.aximsite.com/articles/link.php?id=247) which although based on 3.8 will get you started.
You won't find a single resource telling you everything you need to know tailored specifically to your level.
Instead, take some time to read the manual, browse the tutorials, use the forum's SEARCH feature, and feel free to post your own questions too.
Don't be despondent if you don't get an answer in the first 5,10,60 or whatever minutes, sometimes it takes time.

http://www.brighthand.com springs to mind. There's a bunch. Just find one (or a few) that you feel comfortable on.
