riddle me this, Schlachter, if you built your transAxim (i like that name), how would you power it? my laptop (dell inspiron b120) only lasts about 1hour with an external monitor (and that's with said monitor plugged in!) and it's battery holds a heck of a lot more power than the axim
also, from a cost perspective, why use a true touch-screen? for years this has been available on CRTs with a camera-like device that sits on the front of the monitor and costs llike $20-50. why not just get one of those and put a sheet of plexiglass over a normal LCD?
I LOVE your tablet shell idea for the axim, if you can work out the lagistics and price, I, for one, would be VERY interested. maybe you could even borrow from the aximizer idea and have the full range of outputs for the transAxim
