The case is going to be rather thick, it's basically going to be an LCD screen with some massive batteries on the inside. I'm going to find some cheapo new laptop batteries (12v, 2amp) and hook them up in a series on the inside (probably 2-3 of them). Then I'm going to have a normal car charger, rip it apart, and use it to power the axim and the bluetooth (when it's on) feeding off the batteries. I know my battery life might not be that great. I might make a switch on the outside to cut off the power to everything else (like the axim) and use it to just run the touchscreen.

About the touch screen, can you send me a link? I was wanting to do that, but my main resources for stuff (yardsales, forums, and ebay) I haven't been able to find any. I know they're around, if you can find a link for me and it won't make it too thick I'd definately do that. The reason I was going to do the built in touchscreen was because they're selling for like 180-200. I have 450 saved for a laptop, and decided to build this instead. I like making my own cool stuff.

Thanks, I thought it was lame (sound like Transaxil) I am going to add all the ports the aximizer has (except serial, I have no use for serial) and I might not do the preamp... although I REALLY REALLY want to, I don't know if it's worth the time and effort.
BTW, once I get going on the better (after I get the mold made and the electronics made up) I'm going to post the whole process here. And if anyone wants, I could copy the mold a few times and sell the cases... you'd ahve to put everything together on your own though :(
Although, I wouldn't mind making these for a profit if it actually works :P
Also, Afarre, I'll call PPCtechs and give dell a try tomorrow. I got suspended from work for a few days (attendence) so I'll have plenty of time trying to extract this information from some source.
