Will you use your tablet at car?,
If yes, and your car has audio input just test any audio device like MP3 player, CD walkman, Axim, etc, if they sounds too low you will need the preamp.
I am using serial for car diagnostic but I will also use it to interface with V1 radar detector. I also used it for tests with my ADSL modem and
this fixed celular terminal. It can be useful for so may things.
I already contacted with PPCtechs by phone and I sent them an email with details. I am waiting the answer, but I already know they do not have squematics nor any broken motherboard to experience with.
