I have noticed a few other posts concerning the poor audio performance in some games under 2003.

Motocross Stunt Racer - Very bad Stuttering - Claims 2003 compatibility
Simcity 2000 - Slight Stuttering
Morphgear 2.0.0.4 - Skipping notes - Claims 2003 compatibility
Gnuboy - Stuttering
NFS Beta - Stuttering
Rayman Ultimate - Slight Stuttering

On the plus side wifi browsing with IE is greatly improved.
I would like to hear if others are having similar problems.
