I have used my PDA exclusively for scheduling for many years, through many different PDA types. My current setup is a Dell X50V PPC running PocketInformant with PocketBreeze. This handles all my needs without a desktop component and I can carry it everywhere with me.

Is there some way to print a monthly calendar without the desktop component? That's basically was my only use of Outlook.
