I've found the very opposite. Pocket Mechanic has been very reliable on my 2003SE OS, not hosing anything that apparently shouldn't have been, and seemingly improving performance. On the other hand, SK Tools rendered my machine unusable, requiring a hard reset (SD card and contencts went bye bye, soft reset woudn't do it, hard reset did).

Same here. Pocket Mechanic is my favorite cleaning app. The registry cleaner never failed for me.
