How about this. You stated previously that you did a hard reset and tried so I'm assuming there are no programs loaded another hard reset wont kill anything.
1. Hard reset
2. install the Broadcom BT stack version .05 that you can get here on the aximsite.
3. Do a soft reset.
4. Do the registry edits as follows:
[HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Applications\0001]
Change ComPortNumber from 8 to 7
[HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Services\0001]
Change ComPortNumber from 7 to 6
[HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\Serial8]
rename to [HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\Serial6] and change these subkeys acordingly
"FriendlyName"="Bluetooth Serial Port COM6:"
"Dll"="btcedrivers.dll"
"DeviceArrayIndex"=dword:00000006
"Index"=dword:00000006
No need to put the leading zeros(0) in.
5. Close the registry editor saving all changes if asked.
6. Turn off the Axim and wait 2 minutes
7. Soft reset the Axim
8. Restart and check the serial port settings by doing the following:
go to Bluetooth Settings - Services - Serial Port - Advanced and check to see if Com6 and Com7 are there instead of 7 and 8.
I'm using a BT339 GPS. Once I setup the connection with BT Manager using the Explore a Bluetooth device it discovered the services once it paired the GPS. In the GPS software (IGuidance3) I set the setting for Auto Detect the gps settings and it came up with the right com port but a slower bps. I manually changed the bps to something higher once it was found.
Not sure if this is helping or not.
