Can you please elaborate on how you did that? I've tried and failed with my WiFi Companion on using WAP-PSK-TKIP. I'm forced to use WEP just to go wireless in my own home. Hmmm... not impressed.

I set my wireless router (DLink DI-624) to WPA_TKIP with catch-phrase protection and got my laptops working. So far so good - router's doing its job. Tried to set up the connection profile for my SSID on the X51V, the last tab in the new profile is giving me a hard time because I can't seem to unheck the trusted server/certificate which means I can't key in the catch-phrase in the 2nd last tab where the WPA-PSK-TKIP catch phrase goes.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi xflyboy
My router is a Belkin Wireless modem router in WPA PSK mode with TKIP encryption. My axim connects flawlessly with socket companion as long as my SSID is broadcasted. I assume you have tried deleting the connection then setting it up again. Do you have your router broadcasting "B" wireless or "B & G"?
I connect fine to other WEP and WPA networks with out a problem. Is it the "802.1x" tab that you are having problems with? Mine has Use IEEE 802.1x network access checked with all other options greyed out.

General Tab: Network name : "Your Network Name here"
Connects to : The Internet
Ad-hoc box is UNCHECKED

Network tab: Authentication"WPA-PSK"
Data Encryption "TKIP"
The Key is automatically provided UNCHECKED
Network key "your network key here"
Key index "1" (grayed out).

801.1x Tab : Use IEEE 801.1x network access control CHECKED (and grayed out)
EAP type: Smart card certificate (Grayed out)

Hope this helps.
