Worried DVD video but no sound

I followed the tutorial 'How to Rip your favorite DVD to PPC' - got great video but no sound. I found that I needed a viewer like TCPMP so downloaded it and still got no sound.

I found the older version of the PocketDivXEncoder to match that in the tutorial (with the MP3 option ticked) and that still didn't work.

If I play the video on my PC using TCPMP then the sound is fine.

I changed TCPMP from the 0.72RC1 version that I'd originally downloaded to 0.71 in case that was the problem and still no sound.

I also tried another viewer, Pocket DivX, and that gave an error "Error in Audio".

When I originally used DVD Shrink to rip the DVD it did come up with a message about validating the sound which I clicked on and it just went away. But as the sound plays on the PC I doubt that's the problem.

The DVD is a free one from a newspaper - Only Fools and Horses - I thought I'd try the process on something short first (especially as I haven't got as SD card yet).

I'd be grateful if anybody has any ideas.

Thanks
Simon
