Seriously, guys! You are not telling me that an Axim X51v is not out-of-the-box prepared for use with a BT GPS, are you? That would be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard of! Most products are becoming more and more versatile, so why make something crippled from birth? There's even an application called GPS in the Programs menu, but the thing doesn't seem to want to talk to the Holux. It doesn't make any sense!

No one is telling you that. Both guys were just offering you a better alternative. Just like Box said, GPS and some basic functions works out of the box. The bluetooth manager that comes with the X51 series is not as versatile and user freindly as you are used to, but it works for GPS, DUN, A2DP,AVCRP and serial. But I'm not going out of my way to tell you that it's not crap nor it's not crippled. The two aximsite members were simply giving you another bluetooth stack (widcomm) which is superior than the microsoft stack as an option.
