i personally would love Dell to come out with a Tablet.... i currently have a 10.1 inch Acer tablet (the Acer C112), got it my senior year of high school and fell in love with the tablet idea. Mine has great handwriting recognition (better then the Axim in my opinion), 1.1 ghz ULV Intel proc (centrino based tablet). This tablet has sold me on the idea and I hope Dell makes one (they have good laptops, and great priced to boot lol).

I do not like the UMPC idea. While i like the Sony one (forget model but its like UXP280 has specs of my tablet actually), the screens are too small. I would rather have a PDA and a tablet like i have (its 3.3 lbs and can be carried in tablet mode with one hand easily). UMPC is trying too hard to bridge the gap between PDA and tablet, and i think it failed more then the tablet pc "failed".
