I've used both ORB and Slingbox. Both work well but there are definitely pros and cons:

ORB

Pros:
- free
- can stream to multiple users (I believe)
- does not require software to view (i.e., streams are accessible via orb.com)
- can stream more than just TV (videos, music, images, etc.)

Cons:
- must have server PC with tv tuner card
- must leave PC powered on
- not many tv tuner cards are compatible

SLINGBOX

Pros:
- doesn't require server PC with tv tuner card
- easy to setup

Cons:
- only one remote viewer at a time
- remote and home viewer must watch the same thing unless a splitter is used
- requires Slingbox software to view
- needs wired or wireless connection to network (wireless would require additional hardware)

Moved to Multimedia.
