Weird, I use TCPMP and switch the screen off using one of the assignable keys and get at least a good 6 hours of playtime from it, usually there's still about 30-40% battery after that.

TCPMP may have pretty basic playlist functionality but it works well and I am waiting for someone to say whether Coreplayer has at least the same kind of basic playlisting as TCPMP. I don't care about prettiness and don't want useless rubbish like track time constantly updating or visualisations, I just want to give it a list of files, turn off the screen, and it play the files with as little fuss and as little cpu usage as possible.

Does Coreplayer work as well as TCPMP for that kind of thing? Anyone?
