Yeah it's a Dell X51v, but no, it does not mean Dell will upgrade the unit.
I would love to get WM6 on this unit, especially if it fixes some of the WM5 bugs.
But let's face reality here. Dell has admitted that they are exiting the PDA business, :waaa: and they will not produce another Axim, :waaa: and they don't want to go through another botched OS upgrade like the X50 WM5 fiasco,
plus they already have our money.:exc:
Why would they offer a WM6 upgrade that might end up costing them money when they can simply offer their customers another MFG's PDA?
Let's face it, the X50 WM5 Upgrade failure had to leave them gun-shy about trying anything like it again.
Hey, I could be wrong, and would love to find out that I am wrong! But I think the Axim X50/X51 series ends with WM5.
