The reason why you might want to reconsider of doing this on another computer is because there might be some issues with your current system.
Based on the error, there is a possibility that it may be a hardware issue--RAM (do a RAM check on this, if you have the software for this).
One last option if you don't want to switch to another computer is to rebuild your OS.
Also, it might be a good idea to list the info of your computer
