I have an Ax performance and have specifically tagged on a wireless segement to my network for its use.
I bought a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless Router and the Dlink DCF-660W for the Axim because I'd heard it has good overall performance and, the deciding factor, the card works with PPC2003 using the PPC2002 drivers. The bonus was that it also happens to be a good wardriving/walking/cycling etc. card too. :D
Altogether I'm really happy with the Dlink card, the range is fine and it works well. I live in an oldish house with walls made of brick and stone and can still get a solid reception two floors down (directly down).
The facts:
The Socket card seem to be good, really good BUT they're damned expensive. I got my the Linksys Router AND Dlink DCF-660W for the price I would have paid just for the Socket card. Socket also already have Windows Mobile 2003 drivers out.
The Dlink card was cheapish, does its job well, the PPC 2002 drivers work just fine on it and the drivers are very functional. It is relatively power hungry though.
There's a saying: "Swings and roundabout's"
