The three top possibilities seem to be: - ActiveSync was not installed under a userid with full administrative rights
- ActiveSync was not installed correctly for use by "all users"
- The firewall (AVG in your case, correct?) has not been correctly configured as described in the Microsoft article linked to in an earlier post in this thread
