That is exactly the line that the Dell rep told me with my problems syncing to 2007. I have not had a chance to try to resolve them with the suggestions from above. If it is indeed the case that Dell Axim is only designed to sync with Outlook 2002 then it is a brutal product that I would (if I could) send back immediately.

I was running Outlook 2007 Beta and never had any problems.
