I had one of my computer classes install the latest beta version of AS (I see today that the final version is out) to use with their 51Vs. It works fine for them, but when anyone else tries to log on to these computers, Active-sync starts to install, pops up a message saying it can't find a file, then loops through uninstalling, then installng, again and again. Eventually it gives up--until the next time someone tries to log in.
This is getting very annoying. I don't want to un-install it because we need it for the one class. How can I stop it from trying to install for every other user?

I had problem in XP. If the user is an administrator, AS will do its thing once and be done with it. Temporarily elevate your users to Administrators, login, let AS do its thing, logout, and demote them back to Limited.
Nothing can be done with guest, though, ASAIK...
