Think of QuickTime as a media player, not a file format. For example you can encode in a bunch of different formats and still end up with the MOV extension.

Well that does clear up a issue.

But not the Posters' issue....

He said that he has a Verizon phone with videos on it that he want to put on his PPC, but the PPC won't play the sound on the video, because..... the Verizon phone uses Quicktime to encode / decode the video and the PPC media player he's using doesn't.
