rumble: Do you remember what I said about trying to install one computer's backup onto a completely different system with different hardware? A WM ROM flash is just like that; unless the hardware on the device you're flashing is identical to that of the drivers in the ROM flash... you're running the very high risk that it'll just whitescreen, if it boots at all. Right now, trying to put an HTC Universal ROM onto an Axim is something akin to trying to take an Intel Core 2 Duo-based Dell Inspiron that uses onboard video, and trying to install the backup CD's image onto an HP that uses an AMD processor with an ATI x1650 video card.

Hell, even with the RIGHT firmware you run the risk of bricking your Axim when you flash it. But at least you know with the correct firmware (certified for that Axim), that it'll boot up normally if the flash succeeds. If you're so confident you know better than everyone else - by all means, go ahead and try to hex-edit that Universal ROM and then put it onto your Axim. We do want to see the results, especially if it bricks your device. ;)
