One issue: batteries. You can carry two extra Axim batteries in a matchbox and keep going a long, long time. Not only can't you switch the Palm battery when you're on the go, to get longer life between charges, but when that built-in battery gets tired in two years or so and holds less and less of a charge, your TX turns into a paperweight (or you can send it in for expensive service to install a new battery, or you can try it yourself--I just bricked a Palm in an unsuccessful attempt). With an Axim, buy another $10 battery and invest 10 seconds of labor, and you're good to go for the next few years.
