you mentioned that you were going to use canalphones
well, i have a pair of sennheiser cx-300's and there is a lot of noise when playing audioclips on my x51v because its impedance is 16 ohms
i heard that 8 ohm earbuds dont have noise
so this may be a dealbreaker
