I'd be interested in learning more about how I can convert vids using an implementation of the H.264 AVC codec for a device with a 200 MHz processor and QVGA screen if possible.

I realize there are 1-click solutions available, but I'd like to get my hands a little dirty with a few profiles and apps that allow for various configurations. Can you recommend any starting points? It seems as if MeGUI might be a bit over my head at this point, and I'm afraid that it may want to install all sorts of codecs that may confict with my ffdshow settings, but I could be wrong about that. Thanks....
