I read with green text on black background, and have found a few ebooks that initially appeared blank; the font had been specified as black instead of automatic, so I had to change to a light background to read them.
I agree with the person who said to ask the seller; you might also check out the publisher, for resolution. I personally have never had a problem with Adobe Reader, beyond the VGA fix.

I hadn't thought of that, but I did go in and try changing background to white and font to black and then tried a black background w/yellow font, and still no words.
