Uh... but the dummy SD card is just that - a dummy card. It's just a chunk of plastic the size and shape of an SD card. So how can that make a difference?
The problem with trying it over and over 'until it works' is that for some people, not only does it not ever work, it leaves the Axim in an unusuable state.
