Oops. Sorry, I should have phrased it more properly. I originate my documents and spreadsheets on either PC or Axim. For all intents and purposes, I usually remove the CF/SD from my Axim and insert either/both cards into my PC's card reader. I do this very often when doing edits or massive file transfers or doing backup of the cards onto my desktop.

In this case of documents or spreadsheets, I prefer to work directly off the card. When I originate a document/spreadsheet from my Axim using TextMaker/PlanMaker, I save it as a Word/Excel 2003 file. I then remove the card from the Axim and stick it into my PC card reader. I then open, edit and save the document/spreadsheet directly to/from the card. When I'm finished, I remove the card from my PC card reader and stick it back into my Axim.

I never use the mobile device link as I find I need to copy the document from the Axim to the Desktop. Open and edit the desktop copy, then cut and paste the copy back to the card. Too much work and effort in this, if you ask me. I also find the transfer rate horrendous (maybe it's just me). I mainly use the CF as my main drive on the Axim and SD for all my multimedia stuff (videos, music, etc.).

The only time I leave the cards in my Axim is for syncing/installing software and wma-drm file transfers via WMP.

Well, I hope I got my thoughts out right this time...
