I read this thread right to the end to see if anyone found the Dell "Notification Management" tool they made available. You guys sure did.
I got my Axim X51 about a week and a half ago and hadn't gotten a single notification. Sheesh! To think that I almost got a Tungsten TX instead! I bet notifications work on that device (and that it syncs directly with my linux-based PIMs too!). MS/Dell really gotta fix this issue.
Anyway, I deleted every "CALENDAR" event, set a new event with a reminder and voila... it reminds me. Go figure. Total crap that you have to REMEMBER to keep the queue clear in order for your PDA to REMIND you of stuff you have to do, places you have go.
I didn't touch any other items in the queue as shown by the Dell tool. I might be missing future reminder events, seeing as how I probably deleted them, but I'm hoping a re-sync tomorrow morning at work (Syncing with Novell Groupwise, joy *rolls eyes*) will redo the correct queue.
I might check out that "Alarm Today" app folks mentioned above. If it makes reminder guaranteed in a "hands-off" manner, it's the solution for me!
