How I fixed my Axim's notifications

I have been merrily rolling along for about 6 months with no more problems with my notifications until now. I have been fighting today to try and resolve this problem. Nothing was seeming to work and then I was getting ready for a hard reset. Checked back here in the forums for some info and did I get lucky. Up above in this thread is a mention of alarmToday and how installation seemed to fix their problem. I thought that I might try this as a last ditch effort. Went to the website for PocketMax to read up on the program. Noticed they had a freeware section and had a look there. Found a program called pmClean which has a description of:

Simple cleanup tool to improve free memory and fix the Notification bug in WM 2003 / WM 5.0 that causes slowdowns and alarm problems

Installed, soft reset and Voila - I was back in business.

This has been such a frustrating thing whenever it happens. I now believe that I have the perfect tool to fix it. It even has command line options for auto cleaning.

Hope this helps others.

PS) It appears that a lot of this cleanup functionality is also built into alarmToday. I have also installed the 30 day eval of it to see how it works - and does it ever have some neat options.
