S/K last night about 6:00 p.m. some jerk wad took out the telephone pole to which the power to our apt. is attached. This was complicated by the fact that the pole also carried 18,300 amp high tension lines and we were about nine hours out from the impending Nor'easter which we are now getting started with. Our service was ripped off the side of the house has to be replaced fortunately one of the town electrical inspectors was in the area and approved a temporary fix of the old service, we would not have power now if he didn't. It took 4 crews all night to switch all the wires over to the new pole. The vehicle that hit the pole wiping it out got away before it was seen.
