I am not skilled in hex or programing so the SD flash thing is over my head. I have the IMG files but don't have a clue how to make them into an .nb0 or a .CRC. I am just lost and need some help here or I'll put it in a drawer and move on.

Depending on the OS (Windows Mobile 5 or 2003 SE), I can help you find a solution. For this to work, you must have an external SD Card reader (you could probably find one at Office Depot or Radio Shack or some other tech or office store) and a SD Card (256mb or bigger). You can find pre-built images for flashing into rom. The solution depends on what OS you had before the attempted rom update and what rom you were trying to update to. I will try to make it as simple as possible.
Step 1: get rom images off of internet
Step 1a: If updating from WM 2003 SE(old rom) to WM 2003 SE(new rom), get (OS) rom image at
http://randomosity4.us/files/rfiles/...2k3_A05_EN.rar.
Step 2: Use Winrar (found at
http://www.win-rar.com/index.php?id=160&dl=wrar362.exe) and extract the files to any folder on your hard drive (the files in the rar archive are just compressed and will no longer be compressed once you extract them)
